Your Career - A Half Day Workshop on Career Analysis and Planning

Session One:

Session Two:

Introduction and goal setting for the day;

Self Analysis: Understanding your strengths;

What are your Career Motivators? Exercise and analysis;

Researching Careers;

Understanding your Life balance;

Beginning a career change / job hunting campaign;

Analysing your current career.

Your career tools – CVs Interview skills, networking;

Action Plans: Establishing your goals, staying motivated, dealing with set backs.

Review and making a commitment.

Pre-Course Preparation:

Workbook:

Participants are asked to fill out details of their career to date and to begin some self analysis. An internet based test to look at participant’s skills is also used which can be completed prior to the course.

Each participant will receive a course workbook with details of the programme and exercises.

Post Course Support:

Participants are encouraged to email the course tutor to discuss exercises completed after the course and for advice. This is included for six weeks after the course and can be extended.

Telephone coaching is available for one to six months from the course to provide support and practical help with career transitions.
